No Pain, No Gain.
This saying was invented for people who needed to push through to achieve a goal.
Push themselves physically & mentally further than they ever thought possible and past the pain that has stopped them before.
It’s motivational isn’t it?
But what if the pain is not helping you at all?
What if the pain exists, day after day, month after month, year after year?
Where’s the gain there?
Not all pain is gain.
When you are in pain next time use this powerful breathing exercise.
Sit or lay quietly where you won’t be disturbed and start to do box breathing.
Breathe in for the count of 4, hold for 4, breathe out for 4, hold for 4.
Repeat this for 2 minutes.
As you breathe in think of the cool air reaching the area where you are feeling the pain and soothing it.
As you breathe out, think of the warm air leaving your body and taking the pain with it.
Imagine the pain leaving your body and floating up into the atmosphere and being gently carried away never to return.
Your body follows your thoughts so use this every day to help heal your body.
